After posting about our unexpected road trip, I should note that we asked Northwest for a refund of half of each of our tickets, based on their Contract of Carriage (Section 240, Page 109; and Section 260, Page 123).

Today, a letter arrived, indicating that there should be a credit on our next Discover bill.

Sure, they were cheap tickets to begin with (something like $168 each, round trip), but that's still 168 bucks, back in our pockets.
